Independent Study is a voluntary educational placement option. Students benefit from the flexible schedule which requires only one hour a week minimum for students to meet with a supervising teacher. Independent study students follow the district-adopted curriculum and meet the district graduation requirements. Students in grades 9 through 12, with grade level academic study skills and possess the ability to work independently, a r e considered for the program.

Home Studies is an independent study program specifically designed to assist parents who choose to educate their children at home. It requires a student and a parent to meet weekly with a certificated teacher to review curriculum assignments, assist with curriculum instruction, and to assess academic progress. Home studies is a voluntary educational program for students in grades 7 through 12.
